A Personalized Wedding at an Urban Winery
Situated in Alameda, CA, Rock Wall Wine Company is a winery that can serve as the location for your wedding. Nestled in the Bay Area, it possesses vistas of San Francisco's skyline, giving the location a cosmopolitan vibe. The building itself is a repurposed airplane hangar where grapes from across the state are brought in to craft wines. A place with a storied past, this venue offers a backdrop where your wedding vision can take flight. Rock Wall Wine Company sits on what used to be the Alameda Naval Air Base. The property was demolished in 1997 and repurposed for use by civilians. The name originates from the rock wall that was built during World War II to prevent attacks on San Francisco by torpedoes. Now, it is not uncommon to see individuals dropping a line over the wall into the water in search of striped bass. Weddings of varying sizes can be accommodated at Rock Wall Wine Company. The Reserve Room is ideal for guest lists of between 50 and 60 standing and is suited for showers and rehearsal dinners. It combines a bar area and has room for dining setups. The Barrel Room functions well for galas of 300 in a seated arrangement or up to 800 standing. If the weather allows, the hangar’s doors can be opened. This large space offers a unique setting for your celebrations.
