The Winery at Wolf Creek Plantation is a scenic wedding venue in Americus, GA. Set against a beautiful vineyard, the tranquility is unmatched. The Winery at Wolf Creek is the first and only winery in Sumter County. In the early 1990’s, Wolf Creek was family land. This was where the owners grew up and learned from “Pawpaw” Howard Johnson, how to hunt, fish, and to work hard, and to appreciate the simple things that the land gives back. An uncle built a thriving golf course on the land which had to be closed down and sold off when the economy took a hit. In 2013, two cousin brothers - Matt Johnson and Jerry English - bought it back. They planted the first muscadine vines and haven’t looked back since, adding more vineyards every year. They are currently building a new event facility which will be completed Fall of 2022. This 6000 square feet space can host a large gathering of 300 guests. They also have outdoor options that also come with covering to ensure your day goes smoothly. Say “I-do” either in the ceremonial site overlooking the lake or the one nestled in the vineyard. Whichever it is you choose, this is the ideal location for intimate affairs. Overnight accommodations, get-ready suites and a honeymoon suite are available as well. There is a catering kitchen on the grounds too. They also offer bar packages to fit the size of your wedding party. With a picturesque backdrop and locally grown wines and wine slushies to delight in, this is truly a gift to yourself.
