Ordained Pop Cellist
Based in Austin, TX, cellist Dan Radin's music makes weddings absolutely unforgettable for couples (Winner of Say Yes AI's Best of Weddings 2023 and Wedding Wire's Couples' Choice Awards 2023). Since playing his first wedding at age 14, he's provided musical backdrops for hundreds of weddings across 6 states throughout 24 years of playing. Dan is ordained by the Universal Life Church to conduct wedding ceremonies; you can have a cellist play you down the aisle, then conduct your ceremony, and then play you out for the recessional! Dan's philosophy is to create a magical, personalized wedding day for the couple by leaning into their own musical tastes. He's composed custom arrangements from The Beatles to Ingrid Michaelson to The Cure, and has been known to take requests on the fly from guests as well. He can play any combination of pop/rock/classical songs, and knows how to set the perfect mood for both ceremonies and cocktail hours. Dan studied music at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh under the tutelage of Nicole Myers (Cello Fury) and Paula Tuttle (Pittsburgh Opera). He has played in ensembles like the University of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the City Music Center Chamber Orchestra at Duquesne University. Upon moving to Austin, Texas in 2015, he's performed with rock bands opening for Grammy winners, played official SXSW showcases, and backed singers from The Voice and American Idol. Dan performs as a solo cellist, or in any combination of solo/duo/trio with acoustic guitar/piano/violin/vocalists. He can also play guitar/sing if couples want a different vibe for a cocktail hour before or after the ceremony.
