Cylburn Arboretum is a city-owned public garden located in Baltimore City. Less than 15 minutes from Downtown with easy access to I-83 and 134 parking spaces, Cylburn makes gathering in the City a breeze for all of your guests. This prime location also offers a variety of backdrops and vistas that allow you to set the scene to celebrate in style. The Gardens Capacity: up to 100 guests Description: The Arboretum has a variety of perennial beds, trees, and plants throughout. In March/April, you will begin to see the swaths of daffodils carpeting the property, as well as the weeping cherry tree and magnolia collections beginning to bloom. The formal garden and the entryway garden beds are planted in mid-June and bloom through mid-October or until the first frost. In late fall and winter, the shadow of these plants offers a textural backdrop suitable for all occasions. The Cylburn Mansion Capacity: up to 62 guests Description: The historic Cylburn Mansion was built in 1863 by Jesse Tyson and designed by George A. Frederick who also designed Baltimore's City Hall. This Victorian revival by design offers handcrafted inlaid floors, tall windows with leaded glass, beautiful plasterwork, and a three-sided porch ideal for cocktails and dancing. The Cylburn Mansion is used frequently for photographs, cocktail parties, small ceremonies, and can even be used as a bridal suite. The Vollmer Center Capacity: up to 100 guests Description: The Vollmer Center is located in the entry circle just beyond the main gates. Built in 2008, this building hosts a green roof, built-in composting system, and geothermal heating and cooling system (your environmentally-conscious friends will be impressed!) Though, the real focal point here are the floor to ceiling windows. If you were thinking about hosting a mid-July or January wedding but really wanted something outdoors, this might be your best option. All rentals include access to tables and chairs for indoor use only and access to the grounds for photography during your rental period. At least two venue staff will be on-site for the duration of your event to help direct vendors, give access to and secure the facility, to assist in handling any emergencies that may arise, and to manage parking (additional staff may be required depending on the number of guests.) Additional time for rehearsals may be scheduled with the Events Coordinator <60 days out from the event.
