The Walters Farm is a gorgeous country venue located in Burns, KS that hosts weddings and other special events. Husband and wife Carroll and Becky Walters own and operate this rustic destination and working pumpkin farm. This is a venue where you can relax and feel comfortable with your loved ones as you exchange vows and celebrate your love. Once someone has driven out of Wichita, it is only a half-hour drive to The Walters Farm, a few minutes north of El Dorado. The farm was obtained by Carroll’s parents, Vernon and Mazella Walters, who split it between their three children. Carroll and Becky look after 1,700 acres of pastoral land with their children often returning to help out, especially in the autumn harvest season. This is a property that offers a delightful backdrop for beautiful occasions. It is the belief of the Walters that your special day should be a joyous one, shared with your happy loved ones. In addition to hosting weddings, this farm also runs family-friendly attractions such as Walter’s Pumpkin Patch and their annual Pumpkinfest. On your big day, you can relax and prepare in comfort in the get-ready rooms set aside for to-be-weds. For your wedding ceremony, you can enjoy a pleasant and scenic space adjacent to the farm pond, or other spots across this spacious farm. The views in this locality are wonderful, immersed in verdant country life. Once you have exchanged your vows, you and up to 300 guests can stroll to the climate-controlled events building. The wooden banquet hall within can host numerous tables, a dance floor, and includes a corner bandstand. The second floor features an upper balcony which offers a fine place to toss the bridal bouquet to an expectant crowd, and also hosts the get-ready rooms. A playground is available on-site for younger guests to enjoy themselves during the reception. Additionally, guests of all ages will have access to the various games and forms of entertainment around the farm. These include Mountain Boo with an underground slide, O’Play Barn and Corral, and scenic walks along a portion of the Walnut River.
