British settler Charles Blake built this wonderful estate during the colonial period at the end of the 17th century. Blake House is one of the oldest colonial buildings in Maryland. It has been fully renovated to provide all modern comforts and still retains the sense of its storied history. The Crown and Anchor Inn is also on the property. This charming building was originally located in South Baltimore and was moved here in 1941. The venue is conveniently located just an hour from Baltimore, yet it is a charming country retreat nestled on 12 acres of private land. You and your guests will have access to the estate’s many amenities during your wedding celebration. Say ‘I do’ in one of the many lush gardens or on the banks of the sparkling Corsica River. The cozy Crown and Anchor Inn features a bar, a small dance floor, a wood-burning fireplace, and a games room, making it an excellent option for your reception. On gorgeous summer days, the outdoor space offers bocce ball courts and cornhole, fire pits, and al fresco dining areas.
