History Unfolds for Your Remarkable Event
The Blooming Grove Inn is a restaurant events venue located in Ewing, NJ, ideal for engagement parties, wedding showers, and other special occasions. Rich in history and proud of its past, this restaurant is looking forward to hosting your next celebration in one of their exquisite dining rooms. Throughout much of the spring, summer, and early autumn, you may choose to hold your event on one of their patios. Taking in the gorgeous scenery near the banks of the Delaware River, you’ll experience delicious, handcrafted cocktails and a diverse menu of delectable dishes. The story of the Blooming Grove Inn begins all the way back in 1741 when the property was purchased by Richard Green. The property was handed down through generations of the Green family, but it is after 1847 when the property’s use and ownership becomes a bit of a mystery. It is thought to have been an inn, followed later by a restaurant, and it was even rumoured to be a Prohibition Era speakeasy. This property changed hands several times throughout the 20th century with the most recent renovation taking place in 2014. In the capable hands of its current owner Steve Jordan, consistent improvements are being made to this timeless piece of American history. The Blooming Grove Inn can host up to 100 guests for wedding showers, engagement parties, day-after-wedding brunches, and much more. Restored fireplaces, custom-built bars, and exposed-brick walls provide historical context and enhance the warmth of the building’s interior. Choose from several private function rooms or relax in the great outdoors by hosting your event on one of their patios. In either case, the building’s charm shines through creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for your guests. Menu items range from local favorites to Italian specialties. For a little something sweet, end your meal with tiramisu or a decadent chocolate cake. This restaurant provides everything you need in one stunning location for a memorable celebration of your love.
