The location evolved into an illegal gambling house which was fashioned with false walls and hidden cellars. The guests would use these tricks and illusions to hide from the law when they came knocking on the kingdom doors. In the end, good prevailed, and the operation ceased to exist. Post mafia era, the castle’s purpose evolved throughout the generations. At one point, it served as a gourmet restaurant for the wealthy but was later turned into a horseback riding academy. In the late 70s, the structure underwent another transformation and was converted into a large studio.
