No matter the size of your wedding celebration, Reynolds Lake Oconee has the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception venues to make every wedding dream a reality. From the beautifully restored 19th-century rustic Sandy Creek Barn, to our Great Waters clubhouse offering stunning views of Lake Oconee, and finally the Rock House right on the lake for small intimate weddings, Reynolds has the perfect backdrop for your wedding day. The Sandy Creek Barn- Overlooking a 44-acre stocked pond and two-story boathouse, the Sandy Creek Barn at Reynolds Lake Oconee is a completely restored wood-beam barn located on 812 acres. Sandy Creek Barn was originally built in 1820 by Gideon Widemire, who spent several years collecting timber from all over the state of Pennsylvania to build the large dairy barn. Discovered in 2005, the barn was transported to Georgia, reconstructed and restored to a magnificent 6,750+ sq. ft. lodge on its present site at Reynolds Lake Oconee. A rustic motif prevails, featuring exposed hardwoods, rugged stone accents, an antique saloon bar, covered terrace, and outdoor event porch. Inside the barn we can accommodate a reception style reception (passed appetizers with stations) for up to 150 guests and a plated meal for up to 100 guests. The adjacent lawn area can accommodate a tent for a reception for up to 500 guests. The Great Waters clubhouse sits atop a sloping hill with stunning views of Lake Oconee and the Great Waters golf course. This is the perfect site for lakeside weddings and intimate gatherings. The stylish clubhouse offers bay windows and a broad-wrap around porch overlooking the lake, while the large event lawn is ideal for outdoor celebrations. Inside the Great Waters Clubhouse we can accommodate a reception style reception (passed appetizers with stations) for up to 150 guests and a plated meal for up to 100 guests. The event lawn and outdoor patio can easily accommodate 300+ guests. The Rock House- Aptly named The Rock House, this rustic venue is a replica of the Reynolds family’s turn-of-the-century hunting lodge which currently sits at the bottom of Lake Oconee. With indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a large veranda overlooking the lake, and stone walls with a high wood-beamed ceiling this venue is intimate, cozy and will leave a lasting impression for an intimate wedding.
