Located on the brisk shores of Haines, AK, is the Viking Cove wedding venue. This 12-acre peninsula overlooking the Southeast Alaskan Passage offers a dreamy setting for celebrating love. The waterfront property is fully prepared for a getaway wedding event with on-site lodging, parking, and event space. Guests can enjoy the many sights and wonders found on this secluded landscape. Verdant meadows, forests, and beaches fill the area while mighty mountains tower in the background. Immersed within the trees are remodeled buildings that can be used for the celebration and overnight guests. The main house is a modern Viking-esque house that is perched upon the bluffs of the shoreline. It overlooks the fjord which stretches out and beyond the mountain range Down the path from the charming building, there is also a 2000-square-foot barn with large sliding doors where couples can host a reception. The trails also lead to spacious areas among the trees where open-air gatherings may take place. Among the items found outside are firepits, chairs, and tables. From here, guests can enjoy views of the breathtaking cove and at night view enjoy a surreal scene lit by patio lights. After a night of celebration, Viking Cove has 5 guest homes available. Each has a modern yet rustic aesthetic which seamlessly blends into the surrounding land. After a nights rest, guests can look forward to a day full of exploring. Viking Cove also offers experiences full of adventures for those who wish to explore the landscape. Guests can try the hand at paddling through the fjord on a kayak. There are also hiking and biking trails that can be explored. Depending on the time, Alaska holds public festivals full of beer, BBQs, and more. Viking Cove even sponsors the Southeast Alaska State Fair which offers good music, food, and fun.
