The Barn at Smugglers' Notch is a purpose built wedding venue minutes from the lifts at Stowe and Smugglers' Notch ski resorts. Our privileged location affords the best views of Mt Mansfield and the Green Mountains. We are a 4 season resort, with lush lawns, acres of wildflower and gardens with stunning mountain views in the background. "The Barn" is the owners' vision of a modern wedding venue disguised as a barn. The Barn suits the vernacular of beautiful mountain surrounding, yet has the comforts required for a successful wedding event for today's modern bride. Amenities include an elegant bridal site, covered patio lounge over looking the lush lawns and mountains, professional commercial kitchen on site, plenty of beautiful bathrooms, custom built timber constructed bar, original works of art, custom built beautiful farm tables, elegant lighting and many unique architectural features. There is also a house sound system that can play indoor and / or outdoors. A main feature of our vision was an open floor plan flooded with natural light. Our vision was a bright, cheerful space with lot's of glass to enjoy the sun as well as the views of the surrounding mountains. To brighten the space further, we chose a light color palette of white-washed and natural wood tones. The perfect blank canvas for you to provide your own personal touch to. The outdoor spaces become a large part of our events. Guests from around the world come to our venue to take in the beautiful surroundings. With the indoor and outdoor spaces designed by our artist owner, photo ops are plenty. The great lawn is flat and perfected for lawn games or the addition of tented space. The covered patio lounge enables your guests to enjoy the great outdoors and our stunning surroundings even when it is raining. We can set up an outside bar for you as well as an appetizer station and passed appetizers. We have a house music system that can play outside and often there is live music outside for cocktail hour. There have also been couples that utilized The Great Lawn for their first dance location! Our mission is to provide a stress free and seamless experience. To that end, we provide day of coordination services for your event. Owners are on site at every event and are passionate about making your event fabulous and memorable.
