Historic Manor House and Beautiful Garden Setting
Built in 1822 by General George Rust, and later, home to Ida Lee and her 12 children, Rockland is still owned by descendants of the Rusts and abounds with historic charm. Ten acres of gardens surrounding the Manor House are nestled among unique rock outcroppings. Blooms begin in early March with winter aconite, chionodoxa and daffodils. Seasonal flowers continue throughout the spring, summer and fall with breathtaking color. Whether it’s cocktails beside the pool, a stroll through the wildflower gardens, or watching the cows graze in the bluegrass field you and your guests will have a lot to take in during your event. There are two historic cottages near the Manor House and gardens which can be used for the Bridal Party and Groomsmen to prepare for the event. Both with spectacular views.
