Unique Wedding Venue in Historical Location
The Workhouse Arts Center is a one of a kind location! Listed on the Registry of Historic Places, it was once home to the DC Workhouse and Prison. The campus began its transformation in 2007 with the addition of artist studios, galleries, a theater, and performance spaces. The Lucy Burns Museum will open this fall and pay homage to the Suffragists imprisoned at the Workhouse in 1917. The main galleries are available for weddings and event up to 120 guests. Custom wedding packages are available, including commissioned pieces from one of the over 50 artists on site. A one of a kind cake topper, bridal portrait, or perfect bridesmaids gifts are just a few options!
