Surround Yourself With Love and Culture
Surround Yourself With Love and CultureThe Frazier History Museum, located in downtown Louisville, KY, is an elegant venue for weddings and other special events. Here, you can surround yourself with all manner of historic artifacts and interactive museum installations while you celebrate your love. Located in the West Main District of the city, the Frazier is surrounded by other museums and tourist sites. The Frazier History Museum is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution. The knowledgeable museum staff work hard to help their clients to learn about and understand stories from history. Philanthropist Owsley Brown Frazier founded the museum in 2004 and was passionate about all manner of topics, from world history to historical miniatures. The museum became the first stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail in 2018. With a selection of indoor and outdoor event spaces, the Frazier History Museum can comfortably accommodate up to 300 people. This includes a Rooftop Garden overlooking the Ohio River, available for ceremonies, receptions, and cocktail hours. 250 or more of your nearest and dearest can be seated for your ceremony, then head downstairs to a gallery floor for a cocktail hour before moving to our 4th floor Loft for a beautiful reception. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, the museum has a backup indoor space that you can use for no extra charge. More intimate ceremonies and receptions can be held in our 1st floor Great Hall or various other spaces, including our 3rd floor prohibition era Speakeasy or outdoor Gateway Garden. And don't forget to ask about hosting your rehearsal dinner or welcome party at the Frazier. Each rental includes tables, chairs, and event staff to help the day run smoothly!
