Growing up in an Italian-American home, Joe Carlucci’s grandmother spoke words of wisdom to her grandson. She would say, “Add in some passion when you cook. You are not just cooking to eat, you are cooking to see the smiles of your family and friends.” Those special words from his cherished Nanny would stay with Joe his whole life. Joe imagined the day when he would carry on this tradition with a child of his own—and today his dream has been fulfilled. A little bit of Nanny, and a whole lot of love is being passed down to his beloved daughter Valentina. She has been in the kitchen with her daddy since she could crawl.
