History Meets Modern Visual Arts
History Meets Modern Visual ArtsThe Fire House Loft is an art gallery and community gathering space in New Orleans, LA, perfect for hosting intimate weddings and other special events. It is upstairs in the historic firehouse on Magazine Street, originally built in 1872. The space has been featured across different media platforms, including TV programs and articles. The gallery aims to celebrate and cultivate visual arts in New Orleans. It features a rotating collection of works by visual artists across the city. The gallery in the Fire House Loft can accommodate 120 people for a reception or 50 people seated. Guests can enter the building on the ground floor and ascend the main staircase to the gallery. The modernized and theatrical fireplace wall is the first thing seen when coming up the stairs. It is usually the backdrop to various art installations but can also house the recessed 220-inch vinyl screen, which is helpful for weddings. The screen has a high-definition projector and a sound system. The rest of the gallery walls feature the original exposed brick, black trim finishes, high ceilings, and nine arched windows for plenty of natural lighting. Its most unique feature is the 25-foot infinity bar. It has a back bar that was initially hand-carved for a Brooklyn tavern at the beginning of the 20th century. The space also has a private lounge perfect for turning into a dressing room. The Fire House Loft has a team of dedicated event professionals who will guide you through the planning process. All venue rentals include six-plus hours of access to the space, including setup and breakdown time. They also have furniture such as soft lounge seating, ghost chairs, barstools, 6-foot rectangular tables, marble bistro tables, and more. Their entertainment system, with mics and a fabulous disco ball, will keep guests dancing all night. The Fire House Loft is the perfect historical and artistic event space to host the intimate wedding of your dreams.
