Unlike most musicians in the wedding industry, Karly's musical education and background are in jazz and contemporary music as opposed to classical music. As a pianist and vocalist, she specializes in creating unique arrangements of both pop and classical songs, and even creates "mash-ups" when clients want something unique. Her mash-up of "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" (by Bach) and "Can't Help Falling in Love" (by Elvis) is a client favorite! Karly studied at Boston's famed Berklee College of Music (John Mayer went there, too!) and plays with Mannheim Steamroller during the holiday season. Her experience in the music industry as a performer, songwriter, and studio musician give her a unique skillset for weddings: she is acutely aware of how music plays a larger role in setting the tone for guests as they arrive for a ceremony, and she can intuitively segue music from song to song with ease and elegance, avoiding awkward silences at all costs. Additionally, as a vendor with 20+ years in the wedding industry who "attends" 50+ wedding ceremonies every year, Karly offers her clients insight beyond the musical realm.
