Birthday cake has always been the favorite food of Sandra Sampayo Shorter, the founder of The Naked Cupcake. She loved to spend time baking as she grew up, committing herself to finding the recipe for the perfect cupcake. It wasn’t until she saw the joy that her treats brought to others that she realized she had found her calling. Sandra discovered something along the way, though. She knew that what might be the perfect cupcake for her might not be as delicious for someone else. From this, the idea for a customizable cupcake business was born. Sandra and her treat-loving team are happy to bring the Dress Your Own Cupcake experience to celebrations, alongside a fully customized cake. From simple to lavish, each tier can be personalized to suit a certain theme or flavor palette. Previous cakes have included a Disney theme and a naked cake embellished with fresh berries. These bakers believe that every last crumb will be gobbled up, but if not their cupcakes can be a tasty wedding favor for your guests. If some of your guests have dietary restrictions, Sandra is happy to bake sugar-free, nut-free, gluten-free and vegan-friendly creations. Possible flavors include carrot cake, strawberry cheesecake, and salted caramel. Exciting cocktail-inspired creations are also available, including apple cider and pink champagne.
