Beautiful Historic Backdrop for Your Special DayThe historic Oakland House offers an exclusive St. Louis wedding ceremony and reception venue with beautiful grounds, exquisite renovations, and amazing photo opportunities to capture wedding memories. Located in South County, this historic mansion was built in 1853 by Louis Auguste Benoist as a country home for himself and his wife. Today, it is owned and kept by the Affton Historical Society who has worked to restore the home and bring out the beauty of its architecture and history. Oakland House has a beautiful outdoor space for ceremonies and receptions of up to 250 people, as well as space inside for photos, cake cutting, and indoor receptions of up to 60 people. Bridal room is available in the house for a dreamy atmosphere to get ready in. The beautiful grounds outside and historic period-accurate decor inside provide an excellent backdrop for photography and bridal portraits, and are sure to set the perfect tone for your day!
