Where Nature Meets History
Located in Smithfield, VA, Windsor Castle Park is an elegant wedding venue. Recently renovated, the grounds feature an 18th century manor house and various outbuildings. Stretching over a 208-acre park, this breathtaking space offers a classic style at its best. It has, however, seamlessly integrated modern amenities and conveniences into its historical setting. Windsor Castle Park was built with the aim of giving the people of Smithfield somewhere they could come together and spend time with each other in nature. The land on which the park sits originally belonged to an ancestor of the town’s founder, with the manor house being built around 1725. Some of the outbuildings found on the grounds include a 19th century smokehouse, 19th century exterior kitchen and laundry, 18th and 20th century barns, two 20th century peanut barns, log corn crib and stables. In 2000, the park was placed on the National Register of Historic Places of the National Park Service. Today, it offers trails for mountain biking and walking, natural playscapes, dog parks, kayaking and more. Situated on the banks of the Pagan River and Cypress Creek, Windsor Castle Park offers a naturally beautiful setting for your special day. The manor house offers a charming venue for your rehearsal dinner, along with dressing suites for the big day. Your wedding caterers might appreciate the house’s catering kitchen while they prepare your meals for events in the Manor House. From the house, you can retire to the immaculately kept grounds for a romantic outdoor celebration. Here, you can celebrate with more than 300 guests in front of a variety of natural and historical backdrops. More than 10,000 square feet of space is available for your use, with some of it being covered. This covered setting is found in one of the barns, which also offers water and electrical hookup. A barnyard, courtyards, and waterfront setting are just some of the features of the park. You will also find a natural amphitheater and enough parking for 200 cars.
