Historic Urban Barn Venue
Historic Urban Barn VenueWith the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern elegance, Brodie Homestead will provide an unforgettable backdrop for your event. The wooden gambrel roof, adorned with stunning crystal chandeliers, creates a spectacular setting – and just 10 minutes from downtown Austin. From large seated receptions to intimate gatherings, our venue can easily adapt with custom draping for events of many sizes. In 1949, the Brodie Homestead barn was built by John and Charlotte Weaver, who had moved to the 280-acre homestead in 1945. The structure functioned as a barn for nearly 50 years, and was home to cattle, horses, and donkeys, among others. After an extensive renovation, Brodie Homestead opened for business in 2014 and has since been host to hundreds of beautiful weddings, corporate events, holiday celebrations and non-profit fundraisers. The grand wooden structure and six stunning crystal chandeliers create a spectacular setting. White draping adds a touch of softness to the barn, and natural elements of rich barn wood and white limestone combine to provide an impressive interior. Brodie Homestead is designed to accommodate various event sizes. While the barn is large enough to hold a grand gala or reception, it can also be broken up into smaller areas with the use of gorgeous white draping. It is perfect for intimate celebrations or multi-functional events. Our staff is eager to welcome you into our space, which is completely customizable for your needs. Tables and attractive chairs are included with all of our rentals, which can be set up in a variety of arrangements to suit your guest count and preferences. The incredible cathedral-like ceilings and large stone walls are original to the barn, and nearly all of the wood used inside the building was repurposed from the original structure. There were also some new additions, including the six crystal chandeliers and the recycled maple floors.
