The effect is only heightened entering through the mansion's aged wooden front doors. Inside, an alluring foyer awaits, breaking off into a series of tasteful function areas, including the Parlor Room, formal Dining Room, and library. On the first floor, the Breakfast Room and Sea Glass Room both feature plush decor and exquisite formal seating. The awe-inspiring wooden oak staircase is an evocative backdrop for debuts and wedding portraits. Passing by the baby grand piano, to-be-weds can access a gorgeous selection of five guest suites on the second floor alongside an inviting gathering room. The venue is perfectly suited for micro weddings of up to 60 people, with the option of holding the ceremony on the nearby Jersey Shore beaches. The Mathis House is best known for its Victorian Afternoon Tea, which includes all the homemade delights synonymous with the upscale event.
