Oakhurst Event Facility is a venue located in West Point, GA that hosts weddings and other milestone celebrations. Owned and operated by Lynda Morgan Marlow, this historical farm is nestled on acres of picturesque countryside, offering couples a tranquil setting for their nuptials. The team accepts only one event per day, giving newlyweds-to-be and their guests complete privacy as they celebrate. This farm is more than 150 years old, and has been in Lynda’s family for over a century. In 2001, she decided to create an event center to allow couples to celebrate their special day on the stunning property. To make every occasion special, Lynda has started her own tradition of excellence, with a team of dedicated staff that includes executive event coordinator, Alexis Paul. This venue features both indoor and outdoor event spaces, and caters to all ceremony types. Couples who wish to exchange vows outdoors can avail of a structured gazebo, located on the shore of the on-site lake. With the sun glinting off the water during the summer, and mist rising from the surface in the colder months, this spot is stunning in any season. Alternatively, couples can wed on the manicured lawns of the gardens. A myriad of stunning photograph locations are available, by a waterfall and koi pond, as well as an illuminated covered bridge. For receptions, the main hall offers high beamed ceilings and an indoor fireplace to create a cozy yet elegant feel. A polished wooden staircase opens up into the room, offering a dramatic entrance opportunity for the newlyweds. An adjacent covered patio provides additional seating space if necessary. Wedding parties can also avail of separate get-ready rooms, one of which includes a hot-tub jacuzzi to relax in before the big day. Oakhurst Event Facility can accommodate up to 250 guests in the 8,000-square-foot space. The team offers a range of four wedding packages that includes items such as chairs, tables, dinnerware, and linens in a selection of colors. They can take care of the setup and breakdown of the event, and they will provide bar staff.
